Lenka Kerlicka started her journey as a jewelry designer in an unexpected way. First she studied pedagogy though soon realised her calling was elsewhere. From her deep desire to create she decided to change the course of her life and studied goldsmithing. And so she started her journey of nurturing passion and creativity.
Shortly after she leaned back into her calling, she found out it runs in her blood, it was given to her as heirloom. Lenka is a descendant of one of the most important jewelry lineages based in Prague dating all the way back to the 1650 - the Kerlitzky family.
Lenka encapsulates her love for endless possibilities into each and every piece. Thanks to her formal education she gained mastery over finding solutions to technological challenges and her deep sense for quality and perfection drives her to conquer mountaintops.
While listening to her inner creativity Lenka designs unique and courageous yet organic and elegant statement jewelry.
Since 2012 Lenka has been developing/building 27JEWELRY, a Czech jewelry brand that focuses on handmade bridal and special occasion jewelry for everyday wear. It is loved for its signature organic shapes, precise pairing and the possibility of personification.
The Kerlitzky family’s tradition of jewelry making can be traced back to Prague in 1796, when Kasper Kerlitzky decided to study to become a goldsmith. Over the centuries, eight generations and around 30 family members followed in his foot- steps. In 1875, Ignac Alois Kerlitzky found- ed a store in Prague’s Old Town Square directly across from the world-famous Astronomical Clock that operated in the heart of the city for many decades.
The World War II, turmoils of the 20th century and the communist regime almost put an end to Kerlitzky’s goldsmith lineage — that is, until their latest daughter found her way back into the craft.
Some of the jewelry created by Lenka’s ancestors about 100 years ago is still a part of families’ heritage even a few generations later.

It is a great pride that all LK jewelry is handmade by skillful craftsmen in an atelier in Prague's historic center, the heart of Europe. The alchemy of product design and development under one roof provides Lenka space for innovation and novelty.
It is Lenka's mission to celebrate and preserve the art of craft in today’s modern society and pass it on to future generations.
